Internship Opportunities at the New York State Archives
The State Archives preserves and makes available the permanent records of New York State government and provides guidance to state agencies, local governments, historical records repositories and community organizations in the management of their records.
The State Archives offers a variety of internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students studying information science or history. Internship projects provide experience in processing, description, conservation, cataloging and metadata, electronic records, educational uses of records, records management, reference, and/or website applications. While our internships are unpaid, we are happy to work with academic institutions so students can get academic credit for their work. We offer internships during the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters as projects and staff resources are available.
