Grants that encourage the educational uses of local government records are also available.
Historical societies, libraries, archives and other community organizations may seek funding through the Documentary Heritage Program to support activities related to historical records.
Individuals may seek support to conduct research in the collections of the State Archives through the Hackman Research Residency.
New York State students in grades 4–12 are eligible to participate in the Student Research Award program that recognizes their research using primary sources.
