State Archives Research Room will Open at 9:30 am starting Tuesday, September 3
Effective September 3, 2013, the Office of Cultural Education will implement a uniform start time for hours of operation in the public areas of the State Museum, State Library, and the State Archives:
State Library: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday (reference services
by telephone or internet beginning at 9 a.m.)
CLOSED: All State-observed holidays
State Archives: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday (reference services
by telephone or internet beginning at 9 a.m.)
CLOSED: All State-observed holidays
State Museum: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday - Sunday.
CLOSED: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day
Researchers may use archives and manuscript materials in the shared public
research room of the State Archives and State Library Manuscripts & Special
Collections Unit, located on the 11th floor of the Cultural Education Center
building, until 4:30 p.m., Monday - Saturday. Staff will be available
in the research room to provide on-site and telephone reference consultations
from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on
Saturdays.
Materials held by the State Archives and Manuscripts & Special Collections
Unit will be retrieved from storage at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily. An
additional retrieval for State Archives records will occur at 12:30 p.m.,
if needed.
