Electronic Records Symposium

Don’t forget to register for our upcoming electronic records symposium on October 2nd at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library.  There will be presentations and demos from a number of local governments, as well your colleagues from SUNY Cortland, the New York State Thruway Authority, the Office for Temporary and Disability Assistance, and the Department of Housing and Community Renewal on the electronic records document management systems they have in place. New York State Agencies and Web 2.0

The last few years have been witness to a number of innovations in the use of new technology. Blogs, wikis, social networking services, and YouTube have all made their mark on the way we live and the way we do business. These new tools also are proving to be a significant challenge in the area of records management. We’re interested in finding out how widespread the adoption of technologies has become in New York’s government. If your agency is utilizing any of these technologies or services, we’d like to know!
