PLN 350: Conducting a Needs Assessment or a BPA Workshop
Records management is concerned with records control, under the well-founded belief that strong controls, if thoughtfully designed, can save money and time. One of the essential controls that records management promotes is careful planning before implementation of new recordkeeping systems. This workshop focuses on the necessary steps for establishment of any new records management system, from an inactive storage facility to a complex electronic recordkeeping system. This workshop will examine needs assessments and BPAs in general, rather than discuss specific technological solutions to records management problems. This workshop is typically offered in the spring.
