Join us for the third free day-long Region 6 symposium to exchange ideas and learn from each other about how to ‘do’ shared services. Speakers who have successfully designed and implemented shared services and speakers from agencies that fund such projects will make presentations and take questions.

Program

8:30 - 9:30 check in and coffee

9:30 - 9:45 - welcome – Suzanne Etherington, State Archives Region 6 Advisory Officer

9:45 - 10:30 – "Municipal Choices: Efficiencies and Consolidation" Marty Mack, Executive Deputy Attorney General, Regional Services

10:30 - 10:45 - coffee break, sponsored by the NYS Association of County Clerks

10:45 - Noon – “The Tompkins County Experience” Maureen Reynolds, Deputy County Clerk, Tompkins County

Noon - 1:00 - lunch on your own – the campus cafeteria and restaurants in the village of Dryden will be open

1:15 – 2:15 - “Funding For Shared Services” Myra Fedyniak, NYS Department of State, Division of Local Government Services

2:15 – 2:30 – coffee break, sponsored by the New York Association of Local Government Records Officers (NYALGRO)

2:30 – 3:00 - “Chemung County’s Shared Services Programs”, Karen Miner, Chemung County Director of Public Information/RMO and “The Schuyler County Experience” Kathy Walruth, Schuyler County Records Management Director

  3. Then click "Register for These Workshops." Tell us where you work and submit the registration form.

The final screen will say "Registration Complete" at the top and you will receive an automated confirmation within one day of registering on our website.
