by January 15, 2013. Proposals will be reviewed
by a panel of scholars and archivists familiar with the New York
State Archives and its holdings. Decisions will be made by May 15,
2013.

The General Application should be used by academic historians, graduate
students, independent researchers, and writers.

Historian Application for Research Residency Program
The Public Historian Application should be used by individuals who
provide historical research and outreach services for a municipality,
historical society, museum, archives, or similar non-profit organization.

The Teacher Application should be used by teachers (primary or secondary)
proposing projects beneficial to primary or secondary students in
a school, community, or school district.
