 A view of Karlsplatz, the historical center of Munich, Germany, including: Der Königshof, a hotel, and the Justizpalast, or law courts, 1927. The Karlsplatz gets its name from Prince-Elector Karl Theodore, who designed the square in 1791. Munich residents also refer to the square as Stachus.
