The Princess Regent Menen Asfaw, wife of Ras Tafari, and her attendants in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 1922. The Princess Regent married Regent Ras Tafari Makonnen in 1911, and became an Empress when he became Emperor Haile Selassie I.
