October 21, 2001 aerial sequence, photo 4

The footprint of 1 World Trade Center (North Tower) is immediately above 6 World Trade Center. The footprint of 2 World Trade Center (South Tower) is to the left of the long shadow cast by the Deutsche Bank building. The shadow’s end falls on the footprint of 3 World Trade Center (Marriott Hotel).

After hopes of finding survivors faded, workers used construction equipment to remove debris. Note the vehicles on West Street, which is immediately to the right of 6 World Trade Center: by mid-October, most of the debris blocking the street had been removed.

Note: north is at the bottom of this image.
