EarthData New York
This website, created in 2001, outlines EarthData's data gathering techniques and presents orthophotographic aerial photographs, thermal images, three-dimensional LIDAR models, and color photographs of the World Trade Center site.

"Remote Sensing in Response to September 11th"
In this paper, which was presented at the ESRI International User Conference, Charles K. Huyck and Beverly J. Adams provide a brief overview of how first responders at the World Trade Center site used remote sensing data, including the materials featured in this exhibit.

Emergency Response in the Wake of the World Trade Center Attack: The Remote Sensing Experience
In this Multidisciplinary Center for Earthquake Engineering Research report, Charles K. Huyck and Beverly J. Adams provide a detailed assessment of the uses and limitations of the records featured in this exhibit and other remote sensing data gathered in the wake of the attack on the World Trade Center. They also provide an historical overview of the gathering and use of aerial photography, thermal imaging, LIDAR, satellite images, and other remote sensing data in the weeks following September 11, including OFT's role in developing a list of remote sensing needs and establishing a relationship with EarthData.

The World Trade Center: Rescue Recovery Response
The New York State Museum holds the largest collection of objects relating to the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. This online exhibit chronicles the history of the World Trade Center, the events of September 11, rescue work at the World Trade Center site, evidence recovery at the Fresh Kills landfill, and the public response to the attack and its aftermath. It also furnishes information about the museum's September 11-related holdings.

Tribute WTC Visitor Center
Through walking tours, exhibits and programs, the Tribute WTC Visitor Center links World Trade Center site visitors who want to understand and appreciate the events of September 11, 2001 with those who experienced them.

National September 11 Memorial and Museum
This organization operates the September 11 Memorial, which opens on September 11, 2011, and the September 11 Museum, which is scheduled to open in 2012. Its website contains information about services for survivors and families of victims, visiting the World Trade Center site, the history of the World Trade Center and the 26 February 1993 and September 11, 2006 attacks. Lesson guides and other materials for teachers and images of some of the artifacts in the museum's holdings are also included.

World Trade Center Progress
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey built the World Trade Center complex and served as its landlord and is now overseeing the rebuilding of the site. The World Trade Center section of its website contains information about the history of the World Trade Center, a detailed timeline of the events of September 11, 2001, and photographs and videos.

Witness and Response: September 11 Acquisitions at the Library of Congress
This exhibit depicts a wide array of September 11-related materials, including photographs, oral histories, newspaper articles, books, and artwork. The section devoted to the holdings of the Geography and Maps Division of the Library of Congress, features copies of some of the raw and processed images that EarthData created at OFT's request.

September 11: Bearing Witness to History
This National Museum of American History exhibit depicts a wide array of objects documenting the September 11 attacks, the rescue and recovery operations that followed them, and commemoration of those who died as a result of the attacks. Materials featured include artifacts from the World Trade Center site, oral histories, and photographs of the taken on September 11, 2001 by a professional photographer who worked at the World Trade Center and survived the attack.

Maps Relating to September 11, 2001 and Later Events
This list of links to online maps assembled by the University of Texas at Austin's Perry-Castañeda Library provides access to maps documenting the flight paths of the planes that flew into 1 and 2 World Trade Center, the extent of damage done to buildings at and around the World Trade Center site, and post-attack vehicle and pedestrian traffic restrictions. Other maps concern the attack on the Pentagon and the aborted attack that ended in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

New York State Historical Records Advisory Board. 9/11 Memory and History
This site details how to identify important materials that document the lives of people who perished as a result of the September 11, 2001 attacks or chronicle the attacks and their aftermath. It also discusses how to care for letters, photographs, scrapbooks, audio and video recordings, and digital materials at home and how to donate these materials to an historical records repository.
