Creating Virtual Research Collection on New York State's Environmental History
Focused on a pivotal facet of America's environmental history: the Adirondack and Catskill Parks, this virtual research collection integrates assets held by State and local government archives and non-profit repositories into a virtual collection, unify geographically distributed collections and bring balance to different perspectives on a pivotal environmental history topic. Funded by the National
Endowment for the Humanities, the New York State Archives served
as lead agency in this venture, in partnership with Cornell University,
the New York State Library, the Adirondack Museum, the State University
of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and Warren
and Ulster County governments.
