The State Archives is Open on Saturdays

The State Archives public Research Room is open on Saturdays, except for the following Saturdays in 2020:

• May 9
• May 23
• May 30
• July 4
• September 5
• December 26

The Research Room is open from 9:30AM to 4:30PM and is fully staffed for access to the records held by the State Archives. We encourage researchers to plan for their visit by visiting our researcher services page and reviewing our online access tools to identify the records that they will use. Researchers can contact us in advance and request records by email or phone (518) 474-8955. Researchers are strongly advised to request records in advance, supplying record series numbers and titles, and box numbers from online Finding Aids where possible. Requests for records should be placed by 11:00AM on Friday.
