For New York Applicants to the NHPRC

The State Historical Records Advisory Board is charged by NHPRC with setting statewide priorities for applications from New York. New York SHRAB is also responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on applications to the National Historical Publications and Records Commission that have been submitted by organizations within the geographic boundaries of New York State.

Potential applicants are encourage to contact New York SHRAB staff before preparing their applications to discuss their project ideas, to obtain information specific to New York Applicants, and to request informal review of draft proposals.

In some limited instances, applications may not require review by the New York SHRAB, but potential applicants should seek verification with the State Coordinator or NHPRC staff.
