Local Government Records Advisory Council (LGRAC)
The New York State Local Government Records Advisory Council, or LGRAC, offers advice and consultation on issues of policy and service delivery pursuant to the Commissioners statutory mandate to guide and advise local governments in the management of their records. LGRAC's 27 members serve by appointment of the Commissioner of Education. LGRAC works with the State Archives, the unit of the State Education Department that provides records management services to governments.
New York State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB)
The New York State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) provides advice and guidance to the New York State Archives, the Board of Regents and Commissioner of Education, New York State government, and to the historical records community statewide on historical records programs and issues in New York.
