With the NYS Education Department’s introduction of the Seal of Civic Readiness, school districts and educators are seeking community partners to assist their students in fulfilling the requirements for this new graduation seal. Local government archives are uniquely situated as repositories of invaluable historical knowledge and records as well as important locations within their communities. Join us as we present the guidelines and learning standards for achieving this seal and discuss the opportunities for local governments to make their records available to educators and provide students with engaging learning experiences.
