State Wastepaper Recycling Contract 

Under the terms of a contract the State Archives administers through the State Records Center, state agencies and local governments (including school and fire districts and special entities) can use the services of a designated paper recycler for secure and environmentally acceptable disposal and recycling of bulk quantities of obsolete paper records. Hudson Community Enterprises, founded in 1957 has provided Digital and Micrographic Information Management solutions to numerous private companies and State and Local governments.

Digital solutions include digitizing files that can be managed and retrieved from customer servers or a hosted cloud service. 

Document conversion staff numbers over 180, must pass extensive background checks and have completed a nine-week training program prior to gaining access to any customer's documents.

Shoreline Records Management provides comprehensive records management services including document scanning, physical document storage, secure document destruction, records management software implementations, and records management consulting

Statewide Archival and Preservation Services

The New York State Education Department has awarded a five-year contract (2016-2021) to the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) to provide statewide archival and preservation services and technical expertise for eligible not-for-profit archives, libraries, historical societies, museums, and other institutions that hold historical records and/or library research materials in New York.
